Turns out, they WERE planning another swimming party, but decided to make it a surprise, middle-of-the-night party. It must not have been very good because it only lasted a couple hours. I slept through most of it. My people are lame. Check out their tiny, lame swimming pool:<div><br /></div><div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh51X_tSr-SZvyTSQLA2MXf8Sm6qq5uIcl_QtuTuR5duRO1WMxN5WdbPUaKaBpD9G0RSCaXxbeowDTQyGexzJHkYkBJIODoa-tRyDlxtYWFxWaEWR5KYFK56l6eCU1gfELwOmo3BDx2GO1d/s320/IMG_0004.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468760895292886978" /><div><br /></div><div>When I emerged from my slumber (read: my tall person let me out of Situation Room prison), yet another tiny person had appeared. Looks just like the last one that appeared at the first lame swimming party 18 months ago, but they talked to this one differently. Here's what they said:</div><div><br /></div><div>Ainsley Grace White</div><div>8lbs 8oz</div><div>20.5"</div><div>super cute</div><div><br /></div><div>Over the next couple days all sorts of people came and went. Most importantly, I got plenty of attention and was fed regularly. I had a lot of fun with these two Casady girls that I chased all over the house. I thought they might take me home with them….</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway, here are some pictures of all the weekend's action if you're into that sort of thing:</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" border-collapse: collapse; color: rgb(102, 102, 102); white-space: pre; font-family:'Lucida Grande';font-size:11px;"><table style="width:194px;"><tbody><tr><td align="center" style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/SwimmingParty2?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_xPCNXK3DEQg/S-Ty1qOAjaE/AAAAAAAAEJ0/Ty5uQQTkbgw/s160-c/SwimmingParty2.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="margin:1px 0 0 4px;" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/SwimmingParty2?feat=embedwebsite" style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">Swimming Party 2</a></td></tr></tbody></table></span></div></div>Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-49448788626025189932010-03-17T20:36:00.003-05:002010-03-17T20:38:20.012-05:00Anyone? Few of you know that I'm actually a backup center fielder for the Kansas City Royals, so I had to take off blogging during baseball season…<br /><br />So, a few things have happened in the past few months.<br />First of all, my little person keeps getting bigger, louder and more mobile. Here are some pics:<br /><br /><table style="width:194px;"><tr><td align="center" style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/August10To12Months?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_xPCNXK3DEQg/SuX2INRZ-IE/AAAAAAAADCQ/96hS39-JST4/s160-c/August10To12Months.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="margin:1px 0 0 4px;"></a></td></tr><tr><td style="text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/August10To12Months?feat=embedwebsite" style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">August 10 to 12 months</a></td></tr></table><br /><br />Specifically, he got that wild mop of hair on his head cut down to something more manageable. Here's how that went:<br /><br /><table style="width:194px;"><tr><td align="center" style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/AuggieSFirstHaircut?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_xPCNXK3DEQg/SuX44hgcKLE/AAAAAAAADCk/fFTxIYNpyiE/s160-c/AuggieSFirstHaircut.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="margin:1px 0 0 4px;"></a></td></tr><tr><td style="text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/AuggieSFirstHaircut?feat=embedwebsite" style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">Auggie's First Haircut</a></td></tr></table><br /><br />Also, it's been about a year since they had that swimming party (to which I was NOT invited). Apparently that's a big deal. Because a whole bunch of people came over…AND THEY KICKED ME OUT AGAIN! I don't understand why everyone is so mean to me, but here are some pics from their malicious celebration:<br /><br /><table style="width:194px;"><tr><td align="center" style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/AugustSFirstBirthdayParty?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_xPCNXK3DEQg/SuX0mFR9V2E/AAAAAAAAC1w/LRghsYBBmh4/s160-c/AugustSFirstBirthdayParty.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="margin:1px 0 0 4px;"></a></td></tr><tr><td style="text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/AugustSFirstBirthdayParty?feat=embedwebsite" style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">August's First Birthday Party</a></td></tr></table><br /><br /><br />Augs threw a party at his school, too. Lots of little people eating lots of sugar. Fantastic.<br /><br /><table style="width:194px;"><tr><td align="center" style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/FirstBirthdayAtTheAcademy?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_xPCNXK3DEQg/SuX5mjaNI9E/AAAAAAAAC9c/Ig2WQTGrWLE/s160-c/FirstBirthdayAtTheAcademy.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="margin:1px 0 0 4px;"></a></td></tr><tr><td style="text-align:center;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:11px"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/FirstBirthdayAtTheAcademy?feat=embedwebsite" style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">First Birthday at the Academy</a></td></tr></table><br /><br />The kid can walk, by the way. But he's really slow. I can totally take him. I'll try to find some video of me running circles around him for your viewing pleasure.Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-57645718825171393932009-04-10T01:19:00.004-05:002009-04-10T01:30:51.951-05:00My Tall Person the IdiotMy tall person got all excited because my little person rolled over today. I've been able to roll over for a couple years (yet choose not to because it's stupid) and I don't see him getting all excited about that! Plus, the little guy can't spin, or sit, or high-five or shake or <span style="font-style: italic;">anything </span>cool like that. He CAN speak, though. I'll give him credit for that. Sometimes he won't shut up, and that's not cool.<br /><br />Maybe they'll notice me if I eat more of those pacifiers....<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTMr8GCV_pDA2-wFzOg4kwHB5DDEvGkWNWOb_thW7ilYqIvJB47RjPK74rtzfLnXzFOlTWjS2Qyt6qvijqqGySxHLMlHZ2Tt6JraW6wy2tlN82fVCEE7K205Q7BMvxEuEdDguM1tI5-3Tm/s1600-h/black_lab_puppy_pacifier_2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 391px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTMr8GCV_pDA2-wFzOg4kwHB5DDEvGkWNWOb_thW7ilYqIvJB47RjPK74rtzfLnXzFOlTWjS2Qyt6qvijqqGySxHLMlHZ2Tt6JraW6wy2tlN82fVCEE7K205Q7BMvxEuEdDguM1tI5-3Tm/s400/black_lab_puppy_pacifier_2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322946098546279202" border="0" /></a><br />Yummy.Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-89316224102872965052009-03-03T22:22:00.003-06:002009-03-03T22:31:07.090-06:00Dancing with the AugsAugust has taken to dancing recently. In fact, my tall person and he stay home with me a couple times a week, but hardly pay any attention to me at all. Not sure what that's all about.<br /><br />My short person has been tracking the little guy's growth versus a teddy bear that I occasionally take for a trip. Here are some pics she's taken for size comparison:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpRj9JoUkJHpcelC9I11zhooZ7Arm0mGCIriqkMcS92DOpOn0uqDiv4YzxdqrIr611Qnbf5azFjZLo2bHJsoaEr14mGDUp8fbHqL7S-o221GOi1PeXV1lqaXLEfqv6vRMOQ4B4N9au7Uj/s1600-h/CIMG1338.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrpRj9JoUkJHpcelC9I11zhooZ7Arm0mGCIriqkMcS92DOpOn0uqDiv4YzxdqrIr611Qnbf5azFjZLo2bHJsoaEr14mGDUp8fbHqL7S-o221GOi1PeXV1lqaXLEfqv6vRMOQ4B4N9au7Uj/s200/CIMG1338.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307972758793434290" border="0" /></a>Augs @ 2 months<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxva1CtBFperq5t1WEGutuLTo_mU2mCcgyZSkVrhFo_VZ064FWCQcL4lUKlC2I8RUlMbqseSJ0t1neM4lVRQvSYuBfVZBJVdc1lBOkf627jgdsPABQFnnlu8NNWsoDIK7yGc5IYnHPIn3c/s1600-h/CIMG1479.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxva1CtBFperq5t1WEGutuLTo_mU2mCcgyZSkVrhFo_VZ064FWCQcL4lUKlC2I8RUlMbqseSJ0t1neM4lVRQvSYuBfVZBJVdc1lBOkf627jgdsPABQFnnlu8NNWsoDIK7yGc5IYnHPIn3c/s200/CIMG1479.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307974170692411554" border="0" /></a>Augs @ 3 months<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiExgqPHJ1XvFP1loSDAStoQoTyfeacbvpsiUn2MEM0tI5SSjhHTYc_yAV0ukylaRBL0ly7nQ2rsfJiqEOH5R3tISNBjaHeDxDKP-ZrU8-N4Fyjexf-Dbe545kj1JBUImgmQLcSUEfZ8IK/s1600-h/CIMG1557.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiExgqPHJ1XvFP1loSDAStoQoTyfeacbvpsiUn2MEM0tI5SSjhHTYc_yAV0ukylaRBL0ly7nQ2rsfJiqEOH5R3tISNBjaHeDxDKP-ZrU8-N4Fyjexf-Dbe545kj1JBUImgmQLcSUEfZ8IK/s200/CIMG1557.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307975193380283458" border="0" /></a>Augs @ 4 months<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp-cCZ3eJYcewzUFOkzVOCD1ZPJ7fRFQeiYWHn4bMmrxbQ9arjAgjLxMW92d1uMqEl00quXpDpZnuC674uELeBhv5tZs8bFsRDePLYGK2a3lCc6nQYgwKOyyouCalKIIxGz9EYaPIkzkRE/s1600-h/CIMG1560.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp-cCZ3eJYcewzUFOkzVOCD1ZPJ7fRFQeiYWHn4bMmrxbQ9arjAgjLxMW92d1uMqEl00quXpDpZnuC674uELeBhv5tZs8bFsRDePLYGK2a3lCc6nQYgwKOyyouCalKIIxGz9EYaPIkzkRE/s200/CIMG1560.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307974639444671730" border="0" /></a>Me being awesome.<br /><br />I don't know what the big deal is. That really wasn't very cool, but I was anxious to see what I was going to get as a replacement.<br /><br />Then they came -- two monstrous brown things with a matching brown box where my people hid all my blankets. Here's a picture:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwZ0O_NqyKXI_xBAsVWtWoWz6d_4xVfsOgqjOsRP7XeqetPJibvzYiuQel7Ld9YBRuiHf57BieDODAVfqO2nn2OtV6k-_EsBWVYOs5U-VOnMLJVFrdLhRiFhN9oG-3otuksEiiyXwrFgcW/s1600-h/CIMG1461.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwZ0O_NqyKXI_xBAsVWtWoWz6d_4xVfsOgqjOsRP7XeqetPJibvzYiuQel7Ld9YBRuiHf57BieDODAVfqO2nn2OtV6k-_EsBWVYOs5U-VOnMLJVFrdLhRiFhN9oG-3otuksEiiyXwrFgcW/s320/CIMG1461.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294294713867278002" /></a><br /><br />My new bed stinks. On Christmas Eve my tall person fed me sometime earlier in the morning. It was tasty. He then went right back to bed . . . because he's lazy. Later on, my girl person got up and gave me SECOND BREAKFAST!!! It was awesome! A tip to you dogs out there, just act like you're starving ALL THE TIME. Then if someone doesn't know you've already eaten, they'll probably feed you anyway.<br /><br />Most of the rest of the day, my people were cooking stuff, so there were great smells all over the place. I, of course, helped as much as I could by standing in the kitchen as much in the way as possible.<br /><br />Later that night I got dinner, as usual. After I wolfed down my third meal of the day I stood outside and bragged to all the other dogs in the neighborhood. It sounded like this -<br /><br /><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oBROp1UmpbQ&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oBROp1UmpbQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></embed></object><br /><br />Then I came back inside only to see my people leave for church. Not that I mind -- that gave me time to work off the extra food by taking a big fat nap on the couch. Only thing is, I was really excited about Santa coming. Here's what I felt like -<br /><br /><object height="295" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9jyCfRHumHU&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9jyCfRHumHU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="295" width="480"></embed></object><br /><br />With all the excitement....I threw up on the couch. It was no big deal, really. Think of it like this -<br /><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6vW9gUmooFg&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6vW9gUmooFg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></embed></object><br /><br />But for some reason my people seemed a little upset. I heard rumors of the vintage furniture being replaced in the near future. That's okay with me . . . I could use a new bed.Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-60320808950602201342008-12-14T20:14:00.004-06:002008-12-14T20:42:23.587-06:00Christmas Tree Fun<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmepvA2qnhZvxxCG_ch8SeNGABj_Q_IY8l3gXS4rWXNf_vBYwh8XsR04NYNoTi3VPyH24_i9WEiUsV0hDpoNOuVSMhGtqZrGecB3TcLP3JoiLDtRi-ma38IdCeYo3-aK3kMlac2GgqupDk/s1600-h/CIMG1247.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmepvA2qnhZvxxCG_ch8SeNGABj_Q_IY8l3gXS4rWXNf_vBYwh8XsR04NYNoTi3VPyH24_i9WEiUsV0hDpoNOuVSMhGtqZrGecB3TcLP3JoiLDtRi-ma38IdCeYo3-aK3kMlac2GgqupDk/s320/CIMG1247.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279836334092088866" border="0" /><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span></a><br />My people put up my Christmas tree for me about a week ago. It took them long enough. They were super-lazy and didn't put one up at all last year. I'm glad they finally got around to it, though. It smells nice, it gives me an extra place to get a drink of water and most of all it has THESE:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOgp6ljegEtuRwaSoJlmDbrDUsPfmKCFR8qw8MAQglAi04Erii1x3iFRuId8YDougTVkRKR1u6E16U5X1kLODP48_rCCe4wiAltBIDqIebOdkdXUuWWTUHHwTc6DxZpi_ZxK-5zsN1l2Of/s1600-h/CIMG1250.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOgp6ljegEtuRwaSoJlmDbrDUsPfmKCFR8qw8MAQglAi04Erii1x3iFRuId8YDougTVkRKR1u6E16U5X1kLODP48_rCCe4wiAltBIDqIebOdkdXUuWWTUHHwTc6DxZpi_ZxK-5zsN1l2Of/s320/CIMG1250.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279836325771938434" border="0" /></a>That's right! Much like people have pinatas, I get these little glass ornaments that, if you're lucky, have little puppy-treats in them. I haven't found any, yet. But I plan on starting my search again soon. The people make it tricky for me, but I am very adept at getting to all of them. First, I take out the low-hanging ornaments. Then I use the well-lit wire rope as a ladder to climb to the top of the tree where the most valuable prizes often hide.<br /><br />Here's a picture of my exploits from a couple years ago. No treats that year, but I'm still hopeful for this year.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBPe3E4qNkp2br8wpbrgLUuXE2XYx0-Ru1Kp2bD90KN4OUx_deLpGmJzK95ebjzP8Zib2wwZhdkMuWTdL_2oSpuqmKpg3U-Ys5oLGV_K_fkC2y-LIDT7oVCTUo6qWKlvXFfjx-FK0wxody/s1600-h/IMG_0580.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBPe3E4qNkp2br8wpbrgLUuXE2XYx0-Ru1Kp2bD90KN4OUx_deLpGmJzK95ebjzP8Zib2wwZhdkMuWTdL_2oSpuqmKpg3U-Ys5oLGV_K_fkC2y-LIDT7oVCTUo6qWKlvXFfjx-FK0wxody/s320/IMG_0580.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279836787323771410" border="0" /></a>Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-91905974717632933402008-12-14T19:47:00.004-06:002008-12-14T20:14:30.621-06:00Evil Trespasser<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFznur78pbh82TftTl9krX3KiC3HWIltKnQC65uxRd317SuFBJwuZu-4ipLHvquK6YBIIL9KohpAGrXjFFPG58KB5CFaKHQGk6HVu0xtearFP3bhxBIkAZC_9RJ7etI_YNOHOuEC7VazjW/s1600-h/CIMG1218.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFznur78pbh82TftTl9krX3KiC3HWIltKnQC65uxRd317SuFBJwuZu-4ipLHvquK6YBIIL9KohpAGrXjFFPG58KB5CFaKHQGk6HVu0xtearFP3bhxBIkAZC_9RJ7etI_YNOHOuEC7VazjW/s320/CIMG1218.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279830694676530930" border="0" /></a><br />An evil and completely unwelcome intruder invaded my home a couple weeks ago. Kinda looks like he might be really angry and just yelled, "what the crap!?" Probably the best name was made famous by a song by Heywood Banks, "Big Butter Jesus" and is why my people now call my little shorty, "Big Butter Auggie." I don't know what the big deal is, but he gets all kinds of stuff I can't have. He's ON THE FURNITURE all the time. They give him CLOTHES and if he makes the slightest noise, my people pay all kinds of attention to him. Maybe I just need to bark a little louder . . . . Heck, he doesn't even have to go outside to use the bathroom!<br /><br />I did check him out the other day.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIBn1uNBHTThqfYeoC5HGMM6yXwYD2BKUKSI9sj2aNxhl4gnlgt-daZNihowR1MmC0yUCBTorN1Ek_wPcGCV83kkbTj6bZI5EPSkYc4vEoX9ZtTPDOyFXs2_A4lNE726heBWJuZc064W0d/s1600-h/CIMG0731.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIBn1uNBHTThqfYeoC5HGMM6yXwYD2BKUKSI9sj2aNxhl4gnlgt-daZNihowR1MmC0yUCBTorN1Ek_wPcGCV83kkbTj6bZI5EPSkYc4vEoX9ZtTPDOyFXs2_A4lNE726heBWJuZc064W0d/s320/CIMG0731.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264933824318044818" border="0" /></a><br />He smells okay and I think he'll be the <a href="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/29/67513019_31941426ac.jpg">perfect-sized jockey</a> for that race I've always wanted to enter.<br /><br />Here's some more <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/white.jeffry/2008_10_24AuggieAndJersey#">pictures</a> if you're into that sort of thing.Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-7621285614967854642008-11-04T15:21:00.007-06:002008-11-04T16:18:23.019-06:00Unacceptable CircumstancesA couple weeks ago I was horribly abused by both my people for almost an entire day. First, my short person wakes up at 4:30am and kicks me off my usual post of protecting the top of the couch while I sleep. I made her feed me since she already woke me up. A little chilly outside, but I'm tough and handled it brilliantly.<br /><br />Later on, I had my tall person let me back in the house and could just sense that something was going on. The short person was making noise and seemed uncomfortable -- I offered my comfy bed for her to lay on, but she refused. Then, for no reason at all, the tall one locked me in their bedroom! What a load of crap. I heard more people come into the house, but I was just stuck in their room for hours and hours.<br /><br />Around noon (the time I have continually but yet unsuccessfully lobbied to receive lunch) the tall one pulled me out of the bedroom and stuck me in the office. During my brief period of freedom I took a couple pictures to document all the commotion.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzo8fpagFJoLB-3x7QM_U8gaVAxScQqw0I13_GHadFWTYHVBmDZ84ZoJqeviu1sfpiJmOoWgDQvBVnXH5MzX3x-6a-Klw4r3g_oqqRGcAC4rL2dED3Q1psw-w2ufhhaqq41qxtala08RTU/s1600-h/CIMG0504.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzo8fpagFJoLB-3x7QM_U8gaVAxScQqw0I13_GHadFWTYHVBmDZ84ZoJqeviu1sfpiJmOoWgDQvBVnXH5MzX3x-6a-Klw4r3g_oqqRGcAC4rL2dED3Q1psw-w2ufhhaqq41qxtala08RTU/s320/CIMG0504.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264918085919832546" border="0" /></a><br />I guess they were having some sort of swimming party. I love swimming -- especially at the dog park. I heard some more noise a few hours later that woke me from a brief power nap. Then the tall person threw me back outside!!! At this point I was getting pretty upset. I'm the life of the party! Why wouldn't they want me in there? Eventually, I figured out that during one of my naps someone delivered a new person to my house! With my super sense of hearing I heard some stuff about him:<br /><br />August Dean White<br />born 2:53 pm on 10/21/08 (about 10 minutes after my last nap)<br />weighed 7-lbs, 9-oz<br />20.5" long<br /><br />Here's a picture of the little guy:<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbvlrtTwqa8CJ_qYx1u48ghh3uc9mYwOvBN_R2JHU7bgudx3jlFU7IHHtkLshSj51YGLYIGxnCfbDo64zJJcMasH2r7CLY7ParXmifiZ6_lz_Wr1ZxMKQ6R7TFgfbh_0P89jsEde8u6m4n/s1600-h/CIMG0544.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbvlrtTwqa8CJ_qYx1u48ghh3uc9mYwOvBN_R2JHU7bgudx3jlFU7IHHtkLshSj51YGLYIGxnCfbDo64zJJcMasH2r7CLY7ParXmifiZ6_lz_Wr1ZxMKQ6R7TFgfbh_0P89jsEde8u6m4n/s320/CIMG0544.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264921706056490466" border="0" /></a>Looks to me like his foot is broken . . . but whatever. Only good thing to come of the day is that the short person's brother came and took me to Baby's house for a couple nights. That was AWESOME! Baby and I have great fun and we get to climb all over the furniture at her house. By way of introduction, here's me hanging out with Baby and in no way annoying the heck out of her:<br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxLgTDBs8lnf40kFhD1YfhA9PX0cUch8ZfUpgW8efvuHaNEQZYcWm0THz14KybLXvbGtqw6Ea-LCfUMo1LbFg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>Jerseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01906891495505431719noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3813385832302030802.post-764770554944041342008-10-30T17:45:00.001-05:002008-11-04T15:21:13.289-06:00My first blog postIt's hard to be Jersey.<br /><br />Lucky for me -- and for you -- I'm so awesome I can handle it. I've been blogging as a guest on other dogs' blogs for a while now (see <a href="http://normthedog.blogspot.com/index.html">Norm </a>and <a href="http://bdbaileydog.blogspot.com/">The Bailey Dog</a>), but something happened the other day that inspired me to start my own. I'll post about that later.<br /><br />Let me tell you a little about myself. I was adopted from the <a href="http://www.cmhspets.org/">Central Missouri Humane Society</a> in January of 2006. Here's me the day I came home -<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOBknYg67vWc1qzvnVbdxK75TC1hGP7brTus_MJ2MLJQmNDjnfMd1br-EcjUrKX2fbw70eI5bkWLU9NJnRhugKLaFBX7v-v3Glpg4U3v5MasY_s-hqmxBOcHo48caD9hhA4Jk-jvZeCPgr/s1600-h/IMG_2728.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOBknYg67vWc1qzvnVbdxK75TC1hGP7brTus_MJ2MLJQmNDjnfMd1br-EcjUrKX2fbw70eI5bkWLU9NJnRhugKLaFBX7v-v3Glpg4U3v5MasY_s-hqmxBOcHo48caD9hhA4Jk-jvZeCPgr/s320/IMG_2728.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263084990288568402" border="0" /></a><br />Obviously I'm incredibly cute. My people -- the tall one, and the short one -- take pretty good care of me. And they should for all the awesome things I do for them.
